Does Rowgate copy my company’s data?
No. Questions are answered directly on your database, in read-only mode. Rowgate only stores the access configuration and the audit record.
Can the AI change or delete data?
No. Rowgate only sends read queries, and the Read-only option is always on. See Security and privacy.
Do I need to know SQL?
No. You choose tables, hide columns and build rules with sentences like “show only records where region equals the person’s value”. Rowgate turns that into the database query.
Which databases are supported?
Supabase, PostgreSQL, MySQL (and MariaDB), SQL Server (and Azure SQL), Snowflake and Databricks.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
Any assistant that supports MCP connectors, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Le Chat, Copilot Studio and Claude Code. See Connect your AI.
Does each person need an account with the assistant?
Yes. Each person uses their own assistant account, on a plan that supports custom connectors, and signs in with their own Rowgate account when connecting.
Can I connect more than one database?
Yes. Base includes 1 connection, and you can add more connections under Subscription and plans.
Can a person have more than one profile?
No. Each person has one profile. If someone needs access from two areas, create a profile that combines both (you can start by duplicating an existing profile).
Can I see what each person asked?
Yes. Audit shows who asked, with which profile, the table, the query that ran and whether it was allowed or blocked.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. The free trial lasts 7 days and doesn’t require a card.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. See Subscription and plans.
Is the AI’s answer always right?
The AI writes its answer from the data Rowgate returns, but it can misread a question or make mistakes when summarizing. Double-check before important decisions. The audit log shows the query that ran for each question.
How do I contact support?
Email [email protected] describing what happened and, if there was one, the message shown on screen.
