Audit has two tabs: AI queries and Panel changes. Only administrators can see this screen.
AI queries
Every time an assistant queries Rowgate, a row is recorded with the date and time, the person, the query, the table and the result:
- Allowed: the query passed the profile’s rules and was run.
- Blocked: the profile doesn’t allow it (table not allowed, hidden column, person without a profile or missing a value used in a rule).
- Failed: the query was allowed, but the database didn’t respond or refused it.
Filter by user, by period (last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days) and by result.
Query details
Click Details to see:
- the tool the AI used (list tables, query or count);
- the AI request, exactly as the AI made it;
- the query sent to the database, with the profile’s filters already applied;
- the response time and the number of rows returned.
Use Copy to take the query to another tool. It helps you check an AI answer or understand why a question was blocked.
Panel changes
Records configuration changes: database connections, profiles, invitations, roles, people’s profiles and access data, connector disconnections, subscription and organization settings. Each row shows when, who, the area and what changed. Automatic actions appear as System.
The audit log is append-only: nothing can be edited or deleted, not even by an administrator.
Value privacy
In Settings › Security, turn on Hide values in the audit log to keep the question and the query without the returned data. How long audit records are kept depends on your plan.
