After you accept your invitation, open Connect your AI in Rowgate. There you’ll find the connector URL, step-by-step instructions for each assistant and the list of what you can query.
How the connection works
The steps are the same in any assistant that supports MCP connectors:
- Copy the connector URL in Connect your AI.
- In your assistant, add a custom connector (MCP) and paste the URL.
- Sign in with your Rowgate account and click Authorize access.
The URL is the same for everyone and doesn’t grant access on its own: when you add it, the assistant asks you to sign in with your account. So sharing the link doesn’t share access. Each person connects with their own account and sees only what their profile allows.
Step by step for each assistant
Assistant screens change often. If something looks different, search for “custom connector” or “MCP” in the settings.
Claude
Works on claude.ai and in the desktop and mobile apps, on the Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. On Team and Enterprise, the account owner adds the connector for the organization.
- Go to Settings › Connectors and click Add custom connector.
- Name it Rowgate and paste the connector URL.
- Click Connect, sign in with your Rowgate account and authorize.
- In a chat, turn on Rowgate in the tools menu (+ › Connectors).
ChatGPT
Works on chatgpt.com and in the desktop app, on the Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans. On Business and Enterprise, an admin needs to allow custom connectors.
- Go to Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
- Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
- Name it Rowgate, paste the connector URL and choose OAuth for authentication.
- Check that you trust the connector and click Create. Sign in with your Rowgate account and authorize.
- In a chat, turn on Rowgate in the + menu.
Gemini
On Gemini web (gemini.google.com). The option is rolling out gradually and depends on your Google AI plan; on Gemini Enterprise, the admin registers the MCP server for the company.
- Open Settings › Connected apps and click Add custom app.
- Paste the connector URL and confirm.
- Sign in with your Rowgate account and authorize.
- Ask in the chat with @Rowgate, or let Gemini pick the tool.
If the option doesn’t show up, use the Gemini CLI: gemini mcp add --transport http rowgate <URL>.
Grok
- On grok.com, open Skills & Connectors and go to the Connectors tab.
- Click New connector › Custom and paste the URL.
- Sign in with your Rowgate account and authorize. Rowgate shows up as Connected.
Le Chat
- In Le Chat (chat.mistral.ai), open Intelligence › Connectors.
- Click Add connector › Custom MCP connector.
- Name it Rowgate, paste the URL and choose OAuth authentication.
- Sign in with your Rowgate account and authorize.
Copilot Studio
This is usually set up by IT, in the company’s agent.
- Open the agent and go to Tools › Add a tool › Model Context Protocol › New server.
- Name it Rowgate, paste the URL and choose OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Create the connection by signing in with your Rowgate account, then publish the agent.
The agent’s generative orchestration must be turned on for it to use MCP tools.
Claude Code
In the terminal, run the command shown in Connect your AI (claude mcp add --transport http rowgate <URL>). Then, inside Claude Code, type /mcp, choose Rowgate and authenticate: your browser opens so you can sign in and authorize.
The authorization screen
When you connect, the assistant opens the Connect
If you belong to more than one company in Rowgate, the authorization applies to the company you choose on this screen.
What you can query
In Connect your AI, the table list shows what your profile allows. If it’s empty, you don’t have a profile yet: ask your administrator.
Ask in plain language, the way you’d ask a colleague: “How many work orders have been open for more than 3 days?” or “Which customers bought the most this month?”. The assistant queries Rowgate and answers with the data your profile allows.
Remember: answers are written by the AI based on the data. Check the information before making important decisions.
Disconnect
In Connect your AI, the Active authorizations section lists the assistants you’ve connected. Click Disconnect to cut off access immediately. To use it again, add the connector again and authorize.
