Frequently asked questions
Does Rowgate copy my company's data?
No. Questions are answered directly against your database, in read-only mode. Rowgate only stores the access configuration and the audit log.
Do I need to know SQL?
No. You choose tables, hide columns and build rules with sentences like “show only records from the user's region”. Rowgate turns that into the database query.
Which databases are supported?
Supabase, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Le Chat, Copilot Studio, and Claude Code, through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Each employee adds the connector to their assistant and signs in with their own Rowgate account.
Can I see what each person asked?
Yes. The audit trail shows who asked, with which profile, which tables were queried, the query that ran and whether it was allowed or blocked.
